To me, it is an awesome responsibility to never let small towns be forgotten.
After growing up on a small dairy farm in rural Michigan, I found my way to photojournalism in college. Small town life is something that needs to be documented. Usually, these towns can go months or years without a keen eye showcasing how people interact and a community is shaped. It's my goal to ensure towns and communities like the one I grew up in have a voice, and a visual history recorded through their most important moments, while still discovering beauty in the mundane.
