When I moved to North Carolina after graduating with a photojournalism degree from Central Michigan University I was nervous to find work as a freelance photographer. It was a whole new ball game with more at stake. Post graduate work is when you make it or get a job behind a cash register wishing you pushed yourself harder to make meaningful images. Thankfully, after reaching out, I started as a string photographer for the Fayetteville Observer at the end of January. Below are some of my favorite images from my assignments.
